Ed Clark
More Than the Chief of Ops: He Writes Practical IT Articles Too
Meet Ed Clark, a man on a mission to help ease the pressures of the IT manager by offering ways to make the job easier, with less stress and fewer nights spent working late at the office.
From airman to COO and IT article author doesn’t sound like a traditional career path, which means it fits Ed Clark perfectly.
Ed first earned his wings as a Navigator in the US Air Force, logging over 100 hours of combat flight time in Operation Desert Storm, and his ease at altitude may have had something to do with his success in the role of Chief Operations Officer. For almost a quarter of a century, Ed has guided the LinkTek Corporation from her maiden voyage to circumnavigating the globe. And as if guiding the daily operations of a corporation wasn’t enough to do, Mr. Clark is also a whiz at IT blogs and articles. (Must be that infernal eye for detail!)
IT Background: Punching Above His Weight …
After learning to program in FORTRAN on punch cards, Ed participated in the historic transition from large mainframe computers that filled 1,000+ square-foot rooms to the very first IBM PC which ran the original DOS OS. As Ed says, he’s been around technology since before the days when floppy disks were actually floppy.
During his tenure at LinkTek, Ed has written and edited software specs, tested applications and conducted software QA. He has overseen or conducted countless tests of software applications and written instructions for corrections and improvements thereof.
In other words, when it comes to world-class software, Ed Clark knows a thing or two. He empathizes with the plight of IT professionals dealing with data loss during migration — and has the solution.
With a passion for writing and sharing information, Ed has written, contributed to, edited or quality-checked over 500 works including blog articles, press releases, web pages and videos, covering a wide range of topics from cybersecurity to SharePoint to data migration to how to prevent data loss.

Ed’s penchant for perfection and accuracy resulted in a new word being coined at LinkTek [something Ed didn’t know about until the first time he saw this bio]: Perfecuracy. This, and a passion for serving IT professionals, sums up Ed Clark beautifully.
