For Immediate
Release CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, USA LinkTek Corporation, the pioneer in software solutions that automate the management and repair of broken links contained within a wide variety of common file formats, announced today the release of a new version of their LinkFixerPlus link maintenance and repair software. LinkFixerPlus is a utility used to automatically fix links in moved or renamed files whether working with hundreds of files on a desktop computer or millions of files during a data migration. (For additional information visit http://www.LinkTek.com). This new version of LinkFixerPlus ensures that broken links contained in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macro code within Microsoft Word and Excel 97, 2000, XP and 2003 files that point to external files, such as documents, spreadsheets, graphics, charts and other linked files, are automatically fixed when files are moved or renamed - for example, when an enterprise-wide folder restructuring occurs or during a data migration or when files are moved to new servers or storage devices. The technology has proven to be particularly valuable when moving to global namespace products such as EMC's Rainfinity, F5 Acopia's ARX, Brocade's StorageX or File Management Engine and Attune Systems' Maestro. LinkFixerPlus is the first software application that can fix broken links totally automatically in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, PageMaker, InDesign, AutoCAD, PDF, Windows Shortcut and HTML files when files or folders are moved or renamed. Using patented technology, LinkFixerPlus helps eliminate the time-consuming and tedious process of manually finding and fixing broken links. This newest
release adds to LinkFixerPlus' current ability to move and rename
embedded file links in Word and Excel 97, 2000, XP and 2003 files, as
well as Access, PowerPoint, HTML, AutoCAD, InDesign, PageMaker, PDF and
Windows shortcut files without causing broken links. First introduced
at the Internet World convention in New York City, LinkFixerPlus
won the Best of Show award
in the design category. Since that time, LinkFixerPlus has been
favorably reviewed by industry experts in: Cadalyst Magazine, eWeek,
Redmond Magazine, Windows IT Pro, CNET radio, CNNfn, PC
Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, The Washington Post,
The New York Times, Computer World and The Wall Street
Journal. How To
